Your participation and support are essential to help Cordoba to be designated European Capital of Culture in 2016 and to make the programme planned for the year 2016 a success.

For this reason, we invite you to join our group of volunteers, which is our way of showing the importance and recognising the work carried out by citizens to pave the way for Cordoba 2016.

There are different levels of volunteer work, depending on who you are, what your preferences are and how much you want to get involved:

1. Cordoba 2016 Cultural Activists. This group will be made up of those people who help out in all the cultural projects organised and deemed relevant by the Cordoba Cultural City Foundation. They will also inform the public and spread the word about the Cordoba 2016 project, for which they will receive appropriate training.
2. Cordoba 2016 Averroes Volunteers. Their main job will be to support, when the need arises, cultural activities promoted by Cordoba Cultural City Foundation and carried out by the Cordoba 2016 Cultural Activists.
3. 2016 University Volunteers. If you are a student at the University of Cordoba, sign up as a 2016 University Volunteer and help promote cultural activities related to Cordoba 2016 among students in primary, secondary and high schools. What’s more, you can benefit from the training program of the Cordoba Provincial Foundation for Development (Fundecor).
